FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Edna Rose Julia Rupnick, 94, of Oshkosh, formerly of White Pine, Mich., passed away Friday, June 21, 2013, at Manor Care in Fond du Lac.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1918, the daughter of the late Leander and Elizabeth (Beck) Wuolo.
On June 20, 1942, she married Robert L. Rupnick in Waukegan, Ill.
Edna enjoyed bowling, fishing, skiing, camping at Kidney Lake and swimming in Lake Superior. She was also known to be an awesome cook, especially for her fried chicken.
She is survived by her son, William (Jeanne) Rupnick, of Oshkosh; and daughters, Jane (Russell Sr.) Mathe, of Oshkosh, Mary Sue (Monroe Jr.) Rabe, of Oshkosh, and Barbara (Dan) Huisman, of Olympia, Wash. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Carol Rupnick.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L .; son, Robert A .; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Per Edna’s wishes, there will only be a private family service held.
