Brian K. Johnson

SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. — Brian K. Johnson, 70, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Private family services will be held.

Brian was born Feb. 14, 1943, in Ironwood, Mich., to William and Linnea (Olson) Johnson. He married Lenore Sterny on May 23, 1964, in Ironwood. Brian graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a MBA degree. He was a business consultant and eventually a principal officer for McMahon, Hartmann & Amundson in St. Cloud, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, boating, skiing and spending time with his family. Brian was a member of Ducks Unlimited and volunteered at Whitney Center, teaching computer classes.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lenore of Sartell; daughters, Wendy Johnson of Minneapolis and Nicole (Matthew) Stiles of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Eli and Violet Stiles; and brothers and sisters, William (Joanne) Johnson of Indianapolis, Barbara (Fred) Puente of Apple Valley, David (Jane) Johnson of San Diego, Marilyn (Dane) Udenberg of Oconto, Wis., and many nieces, nephews and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven; and an infant son.

Memorials are preferred to the M.S. Society.
