BERGLAND, Mich. — Louis Arthur Wolfe Jr. passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at his home in Bergland.
He was born April 11, 1949, in Ironwood to Louis “Shorty” and Charlotte Wolfe Sr. Louis served four years in the U.S. Navy. Following active duty, he served in the Naval Reserve for many years. During his working years, Louis was employed at Copper Range, the Ontonagon ship yard and the Ontonagon County Road Commission, from which he retired.
He was a member of the Bergland American Legion Post 562 and the Bergland Volunteer Fire Department. Louis enjoyed bowling, hunting, bike riding and riding his Harley.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; sons James and Louis III (Erin); his special granddaughter, McKenna; mother, Charlotte; brother, Kenneth; sisters, Deb, Joyce, Paula (Bill) Morrill, Kim (Jim) Mix and Nancy (JP) Ayotte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis “Shorty” Wolfe Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bergland. Friends may call at the church an hour prior the the Mass. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bergland.
