The group helped pick 35 bushels of McIntosh apples for the Hurley school’s sixth annual apple pie fundraiser. “With the apples picked and waiting, the next experience they will have is helping to peel and slice those apples to make the Dutch apple pies that the school will be selling Saturday, Oct. 19,” said Bess Maxinoski, an NCA spokesperson.
