CHICAGO — Yukiko Frantz, 76, of Mercer, Wis., formerly of Cary, Ill., passed away Oct. 18, 2013, at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Yuki was born Nov. 27, 1936, in Okinawa, Japan.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Frantz, whom she married Nov. 30, 1964; three children, Sherry (Wilbur) Mehlman, Lynda (Matt) Arnolts and Neil (Lucinda) Frantz; and four grandchildren, Matthew Arnolts, Kristen Arnolts, Rebecca Frantz and Benjamin Frantz.
Yuki and her husband, Dan, owned and operated a number of businesses through the years, including the White Hen Pantry in Cary, Dead End Tavern in Fox River Grove, Ill., as well as the Mobil Gas Station in Fox River Grove. She was a selfless person, always looking out for others before herself. It must also be mentioned that she leaves behind her beloved pet, Sammie.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, from 4 p.m. and will conclude with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the American Lung Association.
