Members of the Gogebic Association for Retired School Personnel gather to present $300 checks to representatives of five local libraries to provide funding for special projects and to recognize service to students and their local communities. GARSP members were once administrators, teachers, administrative assistants and maintenance staff in Gogebic and Iron County school districts. The group has long funded scholarships at Gogebic Community College, most recently the Doris Carlson and ongoing Ernest Dear memorial scholarships.
