Dennis Lee Knutilla

IRONWOOD, Mich. — Dennis Lee Knutilla, 68, of Florence Street, Ironwood, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at home.

He was born on April 18, 1945, in Ironwood, son of the late Bernhardt and Marie (Clairmont) Knutilla, and had resided in Ironwood all of his life.

Dennis attended Ironwood schools, graduating from Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1963. In high school he was active in ROTC and with the ski team. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Dennis is survived by one sister, Carol Fortin, of Concordia, Kan .; three nephews, Timothy Worthington, of Wakefield, and Phillip (Jennifer) Anderson and Graig (Melissa) Anderson, both of Concordia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Winkowski, on Sept. 16, 2013.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service.

Cremation will follow at the Range Crematory in Hurley, Wis.

Spring inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.
