Dennis Lee Knutilla

IRONWOOD, Mich. — Dennis Lee Knutilla, age 68, of Florence Street, Ironwood, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at home.

He was born April 18, 1945, in Ironwood, son of the late Bernhardt and Marie (Clairmont) Knutilla, and he had resided in Ironwood all of his life.

Dennis attended Ironwood schools, graduating from Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1963. In high school he was active in ROTC and with the ski team. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Dennis is survived by a sister, Carol Fortin, of Concordia, Kan .; three nephews, Tommy Worthington, of Wakefield, and Phillip (Jennifer) Anderson and Graig (Melissa) Anderson, both of Concordia; and a niece, Michelle Anguish, of Concordia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Winkowski, on Sept. 16, 2013.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will follow at the Range Crematory in Hurley, Wis.
