BERGLAND, Mich. — Mary Ellen Noskowiak, of Deerbrook, Wis., died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at her home in Bergland. She was 80 years old.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1933, in Massillon, Iowa, a daughter of William and Lena (Fountain) Ihns.
She married Freeman Frahm. The couple later divorced.
She then married Jim Noskowiak. He survives.
As a young lady she moved to New Baltimore, Mich., to help her brother raise his family and graduated from New Baltimore High School. After graduation she was employed at Salvage Air Force Base in Michigan.
She returned to Massillon and raised her family. In 1996, she moved to Deerbrook. She worked for Mattek Potato Farm for 20 years. She was also employed at Prange Way in Antigo, Wis., and volunteered for the Community Association of Retirees.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing and being around people.
In addition to her husband, survivors include four daughters, Jeanne (Don) Frahm-Hahn, of Clarence, Iowa, Jo (Dave) Current, of Lowden, Iowa, Vickie (Dave) Bottcher, of Lowden, and Donna (Al) Arp of Conroy, Iowa; six sons, Frank (Darlene) Frahm, of Clarence, Virgil (Elizabeth) Frahm, of Sheldon, Iowa, Fred (Joann) Frahm, of Clarence, Cary (Rose) Frahm, of Olin, Iowa, James Noskowiak Jr., of Massillon, and Matt (Heather) Noskowiak, of Sun Prairie, Wis .; two stepdaughters, Kim Juech-Noskowiak, of Antigo, and Brenda Noskowiak, of Boulder, Colo .; a stepson, Kip (Carla) Noskowiak, of Birnamwood, Wis .; and two brothers, William Ihns Jr., of Massillon, and Howard Ihns, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her three children, Judy, Jackie and Freeman Jr .; and siblings, Leroy, Manerd, Maxine, Lawrence and Ray.
