Lioness honored

Mercer Lioness Club President June Brunell, left, smiles while Lioness C2-27 Affiliate President Deb Folwarski presents her with a Knight of Sight Fellowship Award Tuesday in Mercer, Wis. Brunell was honored for her "dedication and participation in bringing sight to many residents of the state of Wisconsin" by the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin. Brunell and Lioness members work with the Mercer School District each year to detect vision challenges in elementary students. Brunell received the award at the club's annual Christmas party, attended by about 40 members. It included a visit from Santa Claus and gifts.
