Students in Niki McRae's kindergarten class at Sleight School in Ironwood use their math skills to count and sort holiday candy. They sorted the candy by color and size, and lined them up in rows of 10 and counted the lines to 100 as part of an exercise in manipulatives play, McRae said. The students are, from front to back: Kaleb Perkins, Elizabeth Niemi, Lauren Sheffler, Levi Dull, Addison Pisco and Madden Sommer.
