KENOSHA, Wis. - Fred E. Olson, 73, of Kenosha, formerly of Bessemer, Mich., died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, in Kenosha.
He was born Nov. 13, 1940, in Ironwood, Mich., son of the late Carl and Eva (Erickson) Olson. He attended Bessemer schools and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School with the class of 1959. Fred was employed in Kenosha at Mack-White before entering the Army and serving in France. After serving his country, he returned to Kenosha and was employed at Abbott Laboratory until retirement.
He was a very reserved man and avid reader.
Fred is survived by a brother, John Olson, of Bessemer; and a sister, Carolyn (Bernie) Brunello, of Ironwood Township. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Ann Kaseno.
Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer in the spring with military honors.
