ASHLAND, Wis. - Jean R. Robleski, 76, of Saxon, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in Ashland.
She was born April 5, 1937, in Ashland, daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Shaybel) Robleski. She attended school in Gurney and Saxon.
Jean was employed at Munsingwear, Simpson Electric and Louisiana Pacific.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, Westerns and writing to her pen pals. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses, snowmobiles and her Harley-Davidson.
Jean is survived by a daughter, Marjorie (John) Bigham; two grandchildren, John "JR" (Jennifer) Bigham and Sean (Aja) Bigham; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Mackenzie and Lucas, all of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Sunie; her twin brother, Jim Robleski; and her stepfather, Toivo Torkko.
Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood, Mich.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Ashland Health and Rehabilitation Center and Jean's pen pals, who continued to write during her stay there.
