Daniel 'Danny' Baird

DETROIT, Mich. — Daniel “Danny” Baird, 54, born Nov. 1, 1954, in Detroit, passed away Dec. 23, 2013.

Danny was the son of Charles and Mary Jean (Bracket) Baird.

He married Lorraine “Lorri” Kleimola on Oct. 4, 1986. He was employed as a bricklayer for 30 years.

Danny loved restoring vintage vehicles and precious time spent with grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Lorri, surviving are two children, Alyssia (Jeremy Culp) Baird and Keith Baird; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Jace; his father, Charles Baird; brothers, Edward Baird and Ed Copp; one sister, Sarah Spector; mother-in-law, Frances Kleimola; father-in-law, Donald (Karen) Kleimola, of Ramsay; brother-in-law, John Kleimola; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Danny was preceded in death by twin children, Carolyn and Michael; mother, Mary Jean Baird; and grandparents, Mary Ellen and Warren Bracket and Albert and Martha Baird.

Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at Janowiak Funeral Home in Ypsilanti with the Rev. Patrick King of Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church officiating.

Cremation followed.

We believe Danny is in the presence of his savior and redeemer Jesus Christ, having received him as Lord. Before his eyes closed for the last time, he opened them with peace in them.
