IRONWOOD, Mich. — Joanne E. Pikka, 71, of Ironwood, formerly a longtime resident of Wakefield, was reunited with her son and daughter in Heaven on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014.
Joanne was born on Nov. 28, 1942, in Ironwood, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth (Minkin) Morin. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1960.
Joanne is survived by two daughters, Pam Youngberg (Leslie Maki), Wakefield, and Kristi Pikka (Jim Wilczewski), Bessemer; her son-in-law, Dave Anonich, Menominee; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Kelsey, Casey, Jessica and Alysha; three great-grandchildren, Trevor, Kaelyn and Dominic; three brothers, Donald Morin, of Arizona, Bob (Gerri) Morin, Ironwood, and Dennis (Sandy) Morin, Ontonagon; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jeffery, on Nov. 5, 2004; and her daughter, Gerilynn Anonich, on June 14, 2011.
No funeral service is scheduled at this time.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility for their kindness and loving care that was given to Joanne during her stay there.
