WOODRUFF, Wis. — Marliss B. “Mardy” Henninger, 83, of Mercer, formerly of Neosho, found eternal rest on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.
Marliss was born on Jan. 18, 1931, in Edgar, to Vernon and Edna Finch (nee Dayton).
She was united in marriage to Vernon Henninger on Jan. 17, 1948, in Loyal. She enjoyed flowers, bird watching, baking, embroidering and other crafting projects.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Vernon Henninger; loving children, Larry (Sharon) Henninger, Betty (Ken) Horst, Barb (Larry) Hermes, Roddy Henninger, Rebecca (Darryl) Schmidt, Bev (Scott) Johnston, Joe (Adela) Henninger and Bonnie (Frank) Schimpf; 16 cherished grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother and one sister. Marliss is further survived by other treasured relatives and friends.
Marliss was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Terry and Richard Henninger; and two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services for Marliss will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford WI 53027, with Deacon Richard Piontek officiating.
Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service.
Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Neosho.
