BESSEMER, Mich. - Ronald Lee Reil, 62, of Bessemer, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2014.
Ron was born in Milwaukee on June 2, 1951, to John and Edith (Jurisch) Reil. He attended Three Lakes high school in Three Lakes, Wis. (class of 1969), before serving in the United States Army in Vietnam and Cambodia. Upon his return from the war, he owned and operated Ron's Landing in Three Lakes and worked as a logger in the area. Ron attended Nicolet College in Rhinelander, Wis., as part of the forestry management program.
In 1981, Ron moved to Marenisco. He worked at Norco Window Company in Marenisco and Hawkins, Wis.
Ron was a loving husband and father, and he spent much of his time in the woods and nature (American by choice, Yooper by da grace of God).
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Williams) Reil; and four daughters, Corrie (Dean) Erickson, Carly (Joseph Miller), Maggie and Molly; as well as many other loving relatives.
There will be a celebration of his life beginning at 10 a.m. at Living Hope Church in Winchester, Wis., on Saturday, April 26, with a service at 11 a.m. and a luncheon to follow.
