HURLEY HIGH School art students, from left, Lauren Vinopal, Kourtney Zacharias and Julee Jackson stand in front of their artwork at the school that was recently displayed at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison as part of the Youth Art Month Exhibit. The display ran from March 24-April 4. "Youth Art Month emphasizes the value of art and art education for all children, and encourages public support for quality art programs," art teacher Terry Davis said. "Art education develops self-esteem, appreciation of the work of others, self expression, cooperation and critical thinking skills." The school's spring art show will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. before and after the Hurley band concert and again Tuesday, May 13, at 6 p.m. before and after the Hurley choir concert.
