IRONWOOD, Mich. — Dolores A. “Tudy” Carlson, age 61, of Ironwood, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1953, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Ralph and Doris (Gorski) Bodoh. Tudy was a graduate of the Luther L. Wright High School, class of 1971.
On June 18, 1971, she was united in marriage with Robert Carlson. She had been employed at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Ironwood until its closing, and then at the Bell Chalet in Hurley, Wis.
Tudy loved shopping, cooking, writing poetry, reading and television. Her car was an important part of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Rob, of Wakefield; two sons, Robert Carlson Jr., of Eagle River, Wis., and Dane Brickey, of Jackson; three daughters, Michelle (Jim) Wirtz, of Chicago, Carrie Anne (Jeremy) Borlek, of Mellen, Wis., and Stephanie Carlson, of Wakefield; two sisters, Kathleen Morrison, of Ironwood, and Angie Osinski, of Iron Belt, Wis .; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard; and brother-in-law, Michael Osinski.
Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley.
A memorial service will be held today, Thursday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at the Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood. Deacon Chuck Gervasio will officiate.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
