WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Joyce Geraldine “Gram” Bailey, 84, of Wakefield, passed away Friday evening, May 16, 2014.
Joyce was born on Sept. 13, 1929, in Crandon, Wis., the daughter of Phillip and Cecilia (Seymour) Sheldon.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be dearly missed by all.
Joyce is survived by two daughters, Judy (Ron) Burke, St. Maries, Idaho, and Lois Dalbeck, Wakefield; a son, George (Cheri), Athol, Idaho; many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Pat (Bob) Roberts, Long Lake, Wis .; three brothers, Butch (Shirley) Sheldon and Sonny (Lawana) Sheldon, both of Rhinelander, Wis., and Vernon Sheldon, Crandon; her sister-in-law, Carole Sheldon, Armstrong Creek, Wis .; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her extended family at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 57 years, Alvin; her son-in-law, Gary Armedas Dalbeck, on Sept. 30, 2013; two sisters, Ila (Richard) Campbell and June (Pat) Mulvihill; three brothers, Gale (Jewel) Sheldon, Jim Sheldon and Lyle (Betty) Sheldon; and her sister-in-law, Doreen Sheldon.
No funeral is scheduled at this time.
Interment will take place in St. Maries at a later date.
The family would like to thank everyone at the nursing home for their kindness and loving care that was given to Gram during her stay there.
