Ardie Jerome LaMarche

Ardie Jerome LaMarche passed away peacefully from cancer on May 15, 2014, at his home in Oregon.

Ardie was born June 29, 1940, in Hurley, Wis., son of the late Ardell LaMarche and Hilma LaMarche Voss, nee Lakala. Ardie graduated from Ashland (Wis.) High School in the class of 1958. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard, where he served from 1961 through 1967. Ardie was a proud member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 388 in Stevens Point, Wis., for 45 years.

Ardie also lived in Arizona and California, retiring to the beautiful green state of Oregon.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother, Gordon LaMarche; sister, Arlene Coghill; two children, Ardell LaMarche and Lori Robinson; two stepchildren; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ardie was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Rodrick LaMarche.

Ardie loved sailing on Lake Superior in years past, airplanes, and restoring old cars. Ardie, Barbara and their dog, Rosco, spent their retirement years camping, hiking and strolling the beautiful rugged beaches in the Pacific Northwest.
