WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Carl John Curry Sr., 33, of Wakefield, passed away tragically Tuesday, June 17, 2014, from injuries sustained in a moped accident.
Carl was born on July 29, 1980, in Flint. He was raised in Mayville and attended school there. Carl moved to Wakefield five years ago.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Alden Curry Sr. and his grandparents.
Carl is survived by a son, Carl John Curry Jr., 3, and a daughter, Rachel Lynn Curry, 6, both of Wakefield; his life partner, Ashley Nicole Caouette; his cousin, Don (Barbara) Wright, and their children, Cheyanne, Breanna and Noah, all of Wakefield; a sister, Mayann Curry, Pembine, Wis .; two brothers, John Alden Curry Jr., Jackson, and Ray Hutchinson, Newberry; his mother, Mary Hutchinson, Newberry; several nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles, including a special aunt, Nancy Brown, Mayville; and other loving relatives.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at the Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 806 Putnam St., in Wakefield, with the Rev. Bill Jacobson, pastor of All Saints Lutheran Church in Wakefield, officiating.
Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall of All Saints Lutheran Church following the service.
His final resting place will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
