Ontonagon - The ninth annual Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Foundation golf outing raised about $4,700.
Jim Jessup, foundation president, told a full roster of golfers that the foundation will purchase two microscopes for the Ontonagon Clinic.
Other past purchases include a bladder scanner, patient lift, emergency room equipment to aid in breathing, a renovated beauty shop, equipment to locate hidden veins, items for the long-term care facility and a television for the chemotherapy room.
A new men's championship group was crowned. For the past three years, golfers from the Ontonagon County Telephone Company took the men's division. On Wednesday, the Citizens State Bank team of Willie DuPont, Adam Spaulding, Gerry Platzke and Matt Hagen won the top spot.
The women's division was won by the team of Dot Phillips, Marilyn Anderson, Sara Domitrovich and Stella Giesau.
Mixed team division champs were Joanne Wood, John Niskanen, Joe Strong and Bob Raisanen.
The next project for the foundation will be the annual Mike Urbis-Jim Jessup and Friends Christmas show.
