Dave Bishop, of the Ontonagon Theater of the Performing Arts, assists with loading large new screens into the theater. The two screens are 30-by-16-feet and weigh 800 pounds each. They were lifted into the theater with the help of a crane. The screens will span the entire width of the stage. One will be used as a backdrop for stage productions. The second replaces the worn small screen and will enable the theater to present full-size movies. In addition, the theater will soon receive some new lighting. The $8,000 project was funded through a District Rotary grant of $2,500 and a donation of $5,500 from a benefactor.
