EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Zachary Mitchell (Wabijakawe) McGeshick, son of Peter McGeshick III, of Mole Lake, and Cheryl McGeshick, of Lac Vieux Desert, Mich., passed peacefully in Eau Claire, on Sept. 2, 2014, after a courageous battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
He was never without his Ma or Dad. Zac was pure and innocent, never having a bad word to say about anyone. He never questioned life, just lived it. Zac was his parents’ hero. Now he’s free.
Zac is survived by his parents; sisters, Leea (Michael), Hannah (Nathan) and Kayla Van Zile, Danyll (Craig) Munoz, and Maggie Caroline and Emily Ann McGeshick, of Mole Lake; brothers, Ryan James, of Shawano, Justin Tyler, of Menominee Falls, and Dean Feltz McGeshick, of Palm Springs, Calif .; paternal grandparents, Peter and Carol McGeshick Jr., of Mole Lake; uncles, Donald Klingman, William Winkka and Chris McGeshick, of Mole Lake; aunts, Lisa (Barron) Maki and Doris McGeshick, of Mole Lake, and Dina (Berry) Chapman of Green Bay; and four nephews and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice Poler, and an uncle, Dean Hurlan McGeshick.
Services were held at the Lac Vieux Desert community in Watersmeet, Mich., on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014.
