EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — Don Kahn, 89, of Watersmeet, Mich., died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, in Eagle River.
Don was born in Wausau on Sept. 25, 1924, and was a long-time resident of Tomahawk, where he worked as a manager at the Owens-Illinois paper mill until his retirement. After retirement, he moved to Watersmeet to enjoy fishing the lakes of Sylvania.
Don was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy aboard a patrol craft in both the European and Pacific theaters.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Kahn, to whom he was married for 53 years.
He is survived by a brother, Harold Kahn; a son, Jerry Kahn; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held.
