WATERSMEET, Mich. — Craig Charles Fox, “Nii ode amik”, 25, Watersmeet, left on his journey to the spirit world on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014.
He was born on May 27, 1989, in Milwaukee to Christine McGeshick and was later adopted by Charles and Terry (LaBine) Fox.
Craig graduated from Watersmeet High School in 2007. He was currently attending Gogebic Community College and was looking forward to receiving his welding certificate in the spring of 2015. Craig enjoyed playing golf, duck hunting, fishing, cultural traditions, the Vikings and spending time with his nephew, Dayton, and his dog, Marley.
He is survived by his biological mother, Christine McGeshick; parents, Charles and Terry Fox; grandmother, Beatrice Bailey, Watersmeet; grandparents, Archie (Annabelle) McGeshick, Jr., Watersmeet; sisters, Terry Edwards and Kerri Ann Fox, both of Crandon, and Anna Sheppard, Moorehead, Minn .; twin brother, Christopher Fox, Watersmeet; brothers, Steven Fox, Mole Lake, Dayton and Damon Lakehouse, Mole Lake, Charles Fox IV, Madison, Wis., and Brian Fox, Black River Falls, Wis .; special nephew, Dayton Hartzog; and girlfriend, Danyll Munoz.
Craig was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah (Charles) Fox, Cecil LaBine and Maureen Zarda, and brother, Kevin Wagnitz.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at the Boys and Girls Club in Mole Lake.
Native American services will be held today, Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Mole Lake with Mr. Billy Daniels leading the services. Interment was in the Mole Lake Tribal Cemetery.
