CONSTRUCTION ALONG U.S. 2 through Ironwood continues Tuesday afternoon under light rainy conditions. Northwoods Paving employees were blacktopping parking lots of businesses and residential driveways that were tore up during the summer. Construction crews are waiting for concrete to be installed around manholes before paving the final outside lane on the south side of the highway. They expected construction to continue through next week, though it depends on weather conditions.
