Margaret A. Koszloski

DEPERE, Wis. - Margaret A. Koszloski, 92, of DePere, and a former longtime Jessieville Location, Ironwood, Mich., resident, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Angel's Touch Assisted Living Center in DePere.

The former Margaret Munari was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Ironwood, daughter of the late John and Lucy (Finco) Munari, and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1939. She was employed in the sales catalog department at Montgomery Ward in downtown Ironwood for several years, and for many years as bookkeeper and secretary at St. Ambrose Catholic Church and school until her retirement.

Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood and the Resurrection Choir, and was former secretary of the St. Ambrose Home and School Association. She was also a former member of Eagle Bluff Golf Club in Hurley, and in her earlier years, enjoyed cross country skiing and was active in the Gogebic County Home Extension. She also enjoyed knitting and reading.

Margaret had a great sense of humor and dearly loved her family. She will be deeply missed.

On June 8, 1946, she was married to Stephen "Steffy" Koszloski at St. Ambrose Church in Ironwood, by the late Monsignor J.B. Moriarity. Steffy preceded her in death on March 27, 2010.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Patrick) Sands, DePere; three grandchildren, Steven (Dena) Sands, DePere, Jennifer (Eric) Delaruelle, Delafield, and Christopher (Pamela) Sands, DePere; five great-grandchildren, Carter, Reid, Caiden, Callum and Lauren; a sister, Dolores Phillips, Ironwood; two sisters-in-law, Helen Soltis and Shirley Delimba, Chicago; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Dominic, A.R. "Keela" and Anton "Moose" Munari; a sister, Mary Krizmanich; and brothers-and sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation in the St. Joseph Family Room at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Peace Church in Ironwood, with the Rev. Robb Jurkovich, celebrant.

Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.

Luncheon will be served in the parish hall upon return from the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Teeter, Steven and Christopher Sands, Eric Delaruelle, James Vizanko and Patrick Sands.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Art Munari and Henry "Ivan" Wirtala.
