Chili feed warms bellies in Mercer

ST. ISAAC Jogues Parish's annual chili feed and pie sale for Hunter's Weekend was held Saturday evening in Mercer, Wis. The parish hosts this event every year on the opening weekend of the Wisconsin deer-hunting season. Above, board of trustees member, Judy Bugni, who headed this year's event, serves community members. Parish members donated all the food with eight different types of chili, including turkey and pork. A new highlight to the dinner was Bugni's homemade salsa and chip dishes placed at each table. All the money raised at the event goes into the parish's maintenance fund for future updates or repairs.
