IRONWOOD - Aspirus Grand View Hospital will host its 24th annual Tree of Love ceremony on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
The annual event features two trees, highlighting passed loved ones and celebrations throughout the year.
"The Tree of Love is usually in memory of loved ones who passed this year, or years before," David Sim, manager of marketing at AGV, said. "The celebration tree can be for a new baby, marriage, great accomplishment or just for a good year."
Lights are purchased throughout the year, and AGV matches each light purchased. This year, more than 600 lights will be on the trees.
After the lighting ceremony, attendees can head inside the hospital for a presentation, snacks and music.
"It's free, so anyone can attend," Sim said. "We hope to see a lot of people there."
Proceeds from the event benefit the Aspirus Grand View Auxiliary.
"Lights are no longer available for this year, but people can purchase lights for next year," Sim said. "The proceeds benefit the auxiliary, which supports the hospital with new equipment purchases and other things."
