IRONWOOD, Mich. - Ronald W. Brown, 82, of Ironwood Township, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, in Ironwood.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1932, in Ironwood.

Ronald attended Ironwood area schools, graduating from the Luther L. Wright High School in 1951. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 1, 1961, with the rank of corporal.

On May 31, 1996, Ron retired from North American Aviation Division, Rockwell International Division, of Downey, Calif., after 36 years of service.

He is survived by three sons, Greg and Steve, of Cypress, Calif., and John (Lori), of Yorba Linda, Calif .; a daughter, Jill (Danny) Limp, of Los Alamitos, Calif .; and six grandchildren, Natalie, Matthew and Kaitlyn Brown, and Kenna, Sara and Danielle Limp.

On May 26, 2001, Ron was united in marriage with Tyyne "Tuner" Dravecky. She also survives. In addition, he is survived by three step-children, Cindy (Kris) Evanoff, of Wind Lake, Wis., Kris Thomas, of Green Bay, Wis., and Gary Dravecky, of Aurora, Colo .; four step-grandchildren, Nick (Kayla) Thomas, of DePere, Wis., Marie (Kyle) Thomas, of Stevens Point, Wis., Matthew Evanoff and Phillip (Makyla) Evanoff,, and step-great-grandson, Jeshua Evanoff, all of Wind Lake; one brother, Robert Brown, of Ironwood Township; one brother- and sister-in-law, Ed (Dolores) Sandene, of Bessemer; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Jack, Roy, John, Reino and Elmer Brown; and three sisters, Laina Hagstrom, Martha Smith and Julia Korhonen.

Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Ironwood. Rev. Kurt Kovanen will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Spring inurnment will be in the Sunset Acres Cemetery in Ironwood Township.
