HURLEY, Wis. — Anne M. Stanke, 96, of Mercer, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley.
She was born July 25, 1918, in Rothschild, Wis., daughter of the late Leo and Marie (Bogno) Dorshak.
On Oct. 3, 1948, she married Alex Stanke at St. James Catholic Church in Wausau. They then made their home in Mercer.
Anne was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Mercer.
Surviving are a son, Timothy Stanke, of Hurley; two daughters, Marie Stanke, Appleton, and Susan Stanke, Park Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, in 2001; a son, David Stanke, in 1985; and her siblings.
Private family services and interment will be held at a later date in the spring.
