SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Erin Nicole Baker, 35, of Scottsdale, passed away on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 24, 1979, the daughter of David Baker and Jane (Kapitan) Baker.
Erin was a graduate of Champlin Park High School, Champlin, Minn. She attended Arizona State University and then graduated from the Art Institute of Phoenix. She was employed at Marazzi Tile & Stone in Phoenix as territory manager.
She is survived by her father, David (Debbie) Baker, of De Pere, Wis .; mother, Jane Baker, of Ironwood, Mich .; brother, Matthew Baker, of Albertville, Minn .; grandmothers, Audrey Baker, of Hurley, Wis., and Shirley Kapitan, of Ironwood; step-brothers, Tyler (Holly) Carlin, of Rochester, Minn., and Brady Carlin, of De Pere; step-sister, Danielle Carlin, of De Pere; close family friends, "uncle and aunt" Pat and Linda Kimps, of Scottsdale; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Erin was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Baker and William Kapitan; and her uncle, Dan Baker.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4:45 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview. A Funeral Mass will follow at 5 p.m., with Fr. Rich Getchel officiating.
