BESSEMER, Mich. — Anna “Jane” Chlebowski, 95, a longtime resident of Bessemer, passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, after a brief illness.
She was born on Nov. 30, 1919, in Milwaukee, a daughter of Stephen and Anna Kowalski of Milwaukee.
On Jan. 30, 1937, Anna was united in marriage to Frank A. Chlebowski in Milwaukee.
Anna is survived by two daughters, Bernice Janczak, Bessemer, and Karen Bryce, Stow, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Richard Janczak, Paul (Debbie) Janczak, Christine (Jerry) Berles, Nicole (Daniel) Flanary, Jennifer (James) Schrader, Sean Bryce and Kimberly (Jason) Brown; 10 great-grandchildren, Deanna Janczak, Megan, Jared and Hannah Janczak, Arianna, Danny Allen and David Flanary, Trent Brown and Zachary and Elizabeth Schrader; a great-great-granddaughter, Patience Prochnow; her former granddaughter by marriage, Jan Janczak; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; other loving relatives; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Frank, on Oct. 1, 2011; a daughter, Carol Ann, in infancy; and two sons-in-law, Richard Janczak and Ronald Bryce.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer, with the Rev. Fr. Antony Lukka as celebrant.
Lunch will be served in Father Swoboda Hall at the church following the Mass.
Rite of Committal and interment will take place at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
