DULUTH, Minn. — Jane E. Cvengros, 83, of Wakefield, Mich., former longtime Erwin Township, Mich. resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minn.
She was born Nov. 27, 1931, in Ironwood Township, Mich., daughter of the late August and Lillian (Manninen) Kangas.
On Aug. 8, 1953, she was united in marriage with Donald S. Cvengros at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ironwood, Mich.
Jane had worked for Dr. Rex Harrington, Grand View Hospital and Hautamaki Nursing Home. She was a current member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Kimball, Wis.
She is survived by her husband, Donald, of Wakefield; one son, Michael (Mark) Cvengros-Edens, of Minneapolis; two daughters, Sandra (Edward) Worzalla, of Montreal, Wis., and Dawn Cvengros, of Minneapolis; three grandchildren, Erin Dawn (Wes Stickles) Worzalla, of Florence, Ky., Allan (Sylvia Reyes) Daley III, of Laurel, Md., and Crystal (Scott) Engel, of Loveland, Colo .; four great-grandchildren, Eleyna Daley, August Engel, Emmeline Engel and Keira Halvorson; three brothers, Marvin (Helen) Kangas, of Bessemer, Mich., and Robert and Lawrence Kangas, of Wakefield; four sisters, Bernice (Florian) Supercynski, of Aurora, Colo., Joyce Hession, of Ann Arbor, Mich., Delores (John) Stefanik, of St. Francis, Wis., and Arla (Sulo) Romo, of Ironwood Township; and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Halvorson; one grandson, Jason Halvorson; two brothers, Keith Kangas and Thomas in infancy; and one sister, Vivian Katapol.
Cremation has taken place at the Range Crematory in Hurley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at 4 p.m. at the Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood. Rev. Steve Estola will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Spring inurnment will be in the Sunset Acres Cemetery in Ironwood Township.
Arrangements are by Range Funeral Service and Crematory, Ketola-Burla Funeral Home in Ironwood.
