IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. - John Clifford Nyman, 81, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
He was born Oct. 20, 1933, in Bessemer, to Vienna and Clifford Nyman.
John entered U.S. Army service in May 1953 and served in Korea during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in May 1955.
He drove trucks for various companies and logged over 3 million accident-free miles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol (Erickson) Nyman, of Bessemer; one son, Bryan Nyman, of Dothan, Ala .; one daughter, Betsy Hintz, of Luxemburg, Wis .; three grandchildren - Chiresse, Dayne and Clifford; two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Xander; and two brothers, Russell and Robert, both of Bessemer.
