Sue Herlevi, Zona Wick, Julann Ritter and Melissa DeCarlo, all of the Iron County Health Department in Hurley, pose for a photo next to their "Go Red for Women" display in their office. Department employees and people around the country wore red today to raise awareness for heart disease in women, as a part of American Heart Month throughout February. In addition to resources on heart health found in the office, the health department is sponsoring a Women's Heart Health Brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the community center in Mercer. The event will feature guest speakers, door prizes and heart-healthy food.
