IRONWOOD-The Ice Crystals Figure Skating Club welcomed the public to story time on ice this past weekend as the skaters presented "Once Upon a Time" at the Pat O'Donnell Civic Center.
It was the club's 31st annual show. There were three performances over the weekend, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
Nine groups at various skating levels performed. The club has skaters from ages 3 through seniors in high school.
Under the theme "Once Upon a Time," the skaters performed to Disney movie and other fairytale song selections. The skaters wore fairytale costumes.
The show was organized into two acts, each consisting of 12 performances with an intermission between.
The first act ended with a "blackout" performance as the arena's lights were turned off. The skaters performed holding glow sticks, making for a dazzling light show. By the reaction of the audience, it was a crowd favorite.
