Dianne M. Hanson

ASHLAND, Wis. - Dianne M. Hanson, 67, of Saxon, died peacefully Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, with her loving family by her side.

The former Dianne Bluse was born March 13, 1948, in Ashland, daughter of Elizabeth "Bette" (Gervais) and the late Clayton "Chick" Bluse. She attended grade school in Saxon and graduated from St. Ambrose High School in Ironwood, Mich., in 1966.

She then received a teaching certificate from Ashland Co. Normal Teachers College in 1968 and taught in the Crivitz Elementary School System for five years. Returning to Saxon, she substitute taught in the Hurley School District for several years then was employed in the Hurley Head Start Program. 

Dianne was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Saxon and the Auxiliary to Mercier-Kero American Legion Post 371. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

On June 8, 1968, she was married to Robert A. "Bob" Hanson at St. Ann's Church in Saxon. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2013.

Surviving are a son, Al (Melissa), Superior; daughter, Carrie (Chris) Tobisch, Highbridge; three grandchildren, Ali and Hailey Lutz and Rayder Tobisch, all of Highbridge; her mother, Bette Bluse, Ironwood; four sisters, Rae (Jerome) Brotz, Randolph, Joanne (Victor) Oratch, Quinnessec, Mich., Suzanne (Richard) Flateau, New Lisbon, and Cheryl (Paul) Gulan, Ashland; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Out of respect for Dianne's wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 11 am., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at St. Ann's Church in Saxon, with the Rev. Frank Kordek OFM, celebrant.

Luncheon will follow at the Saxon Community Center.

Rite of Committal and interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Saxon, later this spring.
