JAMES SIMMONS of Ironwood said the resident badger at Keweenaw Land Association's lumber yard near Cloverland Drive popped out from a woodpile in time for the Wisconsin-Arizona NCAA basketball game on Saturday. It was unknown which team the Michigan badger might have supported, with the Michigan State Spartans playing on Sunday. Is the red V a Wisconsin victory sign in the woodpile? Both the basketball Badgers and Spartans advanced to the Final Four.
