ASHLAND, Wis. - The golf season tees off Thursday with the 11-team Ashland Invitational.
Jake Tenlen was low for Hurley with an 81. Noah Huotari fired a 98, and Elia Harma had a 103. Ethan Everson finished with a 125, and Mitch Hissa had a 136.
The Hayward Hurricanes fired a team score of 325 to win the meet and Bloomer was one stroke behind at 326. Lakeland came in third with 345, and the host Oredockers placed fourth with 348. Northland Pines was fifth with 350, followed by Northwestern (357) Medford (361) Chequamegon (381), Tomahawk (383), Hurley (407) and Prentice (550).
Bloomer's Kenny Berseth was medalist with a 36-38-74, while teammate Noah Price was next with a 37-38-75.
