Ann Rezatto Tortorilli

HURLEY, Wis. - Ann M. Rezatto Tortorilli, 100, of Ironwood, Mich., died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley.

Ann was born July 3, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Antonio and Domenica (Stella) Pesavento. As a child, she attended public grade school in Newport, Ill. and St. Coleembelle Catholic Grade School in Chicago and St. Ambrose Catholic Grade School in Ironwood. She was a graduate of Luther L. Wright High School and also attended classes at Gogebic Junior College. She enjoyed being a sales clerk in retail stores in Ironwood, Chicago, and McComb, Miss., during World War II.

Ann was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood, the former St. Ambrose Women's Council, Daughters of Isabella, Grand View Hospital Auxiliary, 55 Plus Club, County Extension Club and the Ironwood Historical Society. She enjoyed her bridge club and attending the Ironwood Theatre and Theatre North. She also did a great deal of embroidery, tatting and crocheting.

She was married to Rudy Rezatto on Nov. 24, 1938, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1967.

She married Emelio Tortorilli in May of 1969. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1975.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husbands, Ann was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond and Bruno Pesavento; and sisters, Ada Mayer and Lea Baravetti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church in Ironwood on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at noon, preceded by visitation in the St. Joseph Family Room at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Robb Jurkovich, celebrant.

Luncheon will follow in the parish hall.

Rite of Committal and interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, later this spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Church, 108 S. Marquette St., Ironwood, MI 49938.
