HURLEY — Hurley K-12 School District administrator Chris Patritto confirmed Wednesday that the school board has taken no action pertaining to high school principal Jeff Gulan.
Gulan was placed on leave March 23, at which point Patritto assumed his duties.
“The board has taken no formal action,” Patritto told the Daily Globe Wednesday. “He’s still employed by the school district.”
Patritto described Gulan’s status as “on paid administrative leave.”
Patritto declined to comment on what the next step would be.
“That’s all I can say,” Patritto said.
Monday’s school board meeting was a standing-room-only affair. School board president Joe Simonich said he would not allow public comment pertinent to any single employee, citing the district’s policy to not discuss personnel issues in open session and the due process rights of its employees.
