IRONWOOD, Mich. - William A. Tregembo, 68, of Ironwood, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in Ironwood.
He was born June 18, 1946, in Elgin, Ill., son of the late Thomas and Zenda (Wodraska) Tregembo, attended Ironwood schools and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1964. He was employed in construction work in the area, worked at Schult Mobile Homes, and retired as water distribution operator-lead man for the city of Ironwood public works department in 2006.
Bill was a member of the Norrie Amateur Sports Club in Ironwood. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and the great outdoors, spending time with his family, and was very proud of his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
He was married to the former Bonnie Strand of Bessemer. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, William Jr. (Penny), Ironwood; daughter, Michelle (Mark) Switzer, Bessemer; three grandchildren, Mark Switzer, and Tara and Michael Tregembo; and nephew, Wally Homeyer, Tennessee.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Homeyer, in September 2009.
Honoring Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 2 p.m., preceded by visitation at 1 p.m., at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, with the Rev. Robb Jurkovich officiating.
A reception will follow at Tacconelli's in downtown Ironwood.
