Victor 'Pete' Peterson

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - Victor "Pete" Peterson, 76, retired U.S. Air Force of 20 Years, died on June 18, 2015, at his home in Jacksonville, following a long illness.

He was born on April 24, 1938, to Victor W. Peterson and Edna May Green in Wakefield, Mich.

He held two bachelor degrees from the University of Central Arkansas. He loved to travel and in his travels, he covered six continents and 49 states. He climbed Mt. Fuji and Mt. Ararat.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria; three sisters, Barbara (Bob) Linn, Karen (Bernie) Pedrin and Loretta Waterman.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Peterson; his daughter Rebecca (John) Peterson, of Virginia; three sisters, Alfreda (Al) Albert, Margaret Ragan and Roberta (Dave) Pedrin; and close friends Dawn (Gary) Heymach.

His memorial service will be at noon on June 26, 2015, at Little Rock National Cemetery with internment to follow.
