INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. — Lorraine (Zell) Wisnewski, 93, passed away Nov. 23, 2014, at Woodlyn Heights Heath Care Center, Inver Grove Heights, while recovering from hip replacement surgery.
Lorraine was born in Duluth on Dec. 16, 1922.
Lorraine and family were longtime residents of Hurley, Wis. Her family moved to Illinois after the mines closed, and she worked as a cook and shipping clerk.
Following her retirement from the Kmart corporation, she lived in St. Paul Park, near her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zigmund; daughter, Gloria (Bebee); son-in-law, Archie (Perren); brothers, William, Donald and Robert; and granddaughter, Debra.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Perren); son, John (Patti); two brothers, Gerry Zell and Dick Zell; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, at the Ketola-Burla Funeral Home, 635 E. Ayer St., Ironwood, MI 49938, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hurley. Deacon Chuck Gervasio will officiate. Lorraine’s family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
