Charles 'Wes' Berkoben

NAPLES, Fla. — Charles “Wes” Berkoben, 95, of Naples, and Mercer, Wis., passed away peacefully at Avow Hospice on March 25, 2015, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He has now happily rejoined his wife, Lois, of 65 years and leaves his five children, Nancy, Russell, Robert, Jeanne, Susan and their families.

Since 1973, Dad and Mother spent many summers in Mercer on Fisher Lake, and their winters in Naples. It was our privilege as siblings to be able to enjoy both properties with our families and to be with Dad in his final days, sharing memories while maintaining his life in his condo.

We would like to share a memorial service at the Mercer Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Aug. 8, 2015, followed by a luncheon, where we can share stories of his life in a casual atmosphere with his many friends from the lake area. Rev. Dr. Keith E. Jones will officiate.

Memorials, if desired, may be sent to Mercer Methodist Church or to Avow Hospice.
