IRONWOOD, Mich. - Donna L. Orr, 64, of Ironwood, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 31, 2015, in Ironwood.
She was born March 12, 1951, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Robert and Julia (Shoquist) Edyvean Jr. Donna attended Ironwood schools and graduated from the Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1969. She also attended Gogebic Community College where she received her LPN. She was employed at Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield, Nustar Home Health, and the Apothecary in Ironwood.
Donna enjoyed crochet and knitting, camping and fishing, she also enjoyed woodworking. She especially enjoyed the meat raffle at the Saxon Pub. Donna was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and also enjoyed getting together at her house for the game. She loved her dogs Jamari Rose, Saima Jane and Maggie May.
On July 4, 1970, she was married to Samuel Orr in Reno, Nevada. Sam survives. Also surviving are two sons, Brian (Pam) Orr, of Ironwood, and Kevin (Stacy) Orr of Glidden; a daughter, Michelle (Nathan) Niemi, of Ironwood; grandchildren, Jake (Corren Borseth), McKenna, Miranda (Marcus Thomas), Remi, Josie, Emmaleigh (Anthony) Leonhardt, Ashleigh (Peter) Riegler, Joshua and Issac; a greatgrandson, Jaxon; a sister, Faye (Ron) Lajoice, of Saxon; and sisters-in-law, Sandy Edyvean and Betty Edyvean, both of Ironwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather; and brothers, Bruce Edyvean and Robert Edyvean III.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 500 East Mcleod St. in Ironwood, on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. Rev. Rosemary R. DeHut will officiate. Donna's family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
