BESSEMER - New Gogebic Miners' football coach Mark Movrich has 35 players to work with in his first season.
Movrich coached JV football for the Miners before this.
Gogebic is coming off of three straight playoff berths.
The Miners started practice Monday evening at Massie Field in Bessemer.
"They've been working hard and have been really attentive and ethusiastic," Movrich said. "We are returning some very talented players and look forward to hopefully a successfully season."
Gogebic goes to Lake Linden for a scrimmage on Aug. 21. Ironwood and L'Anse will also be there.
The Miners, which finished last season at 5-4, start the 2015 season on Aug. 29 against Hancock at Wakefield.
Gogebic's first game in Bessemer comes in Week 2 when Bark River-Harris comes to town for a Friday night game on Sept. 4.
